Activists visited Robin and Neil Kramer's neighborhood to remind Robin and her neighborhood that she is responsible for the slaughter of tens of thousands of cats, dogs, puppies, kittens and wildlife in the LA six city shelters because of her and Antonio Villaraigosa's refusal to fire Ed Boks and hire No Kill Solutions. Kramer is the chief of staff for Antonio Villaraigosa and she has the power and the moral duty to fire the incompetent, fraudulent and inept general manager Ed Boks, and to hire a general manager who will implement the No Kill Equation in Los Angeles. So far she refuses to do this and therefore she has the blood of innocent animals dripping from her hands. Antonio Villaraigosa and his collaborators like Robin Kramer hired Ed Boks two years ago to be general manager of the LA city shelters, even though Boks had been asked to leave as head of the Maricopa Municipal shelter system in Arizona due to his incompetence and mismanagement. He was then fired from his next job in New York City as executive director of NY's Animal Care and Control as a result of the same behavior! He never implemented a consistent or effective No Kill plan in either Arizona or NYC, and he certainly has not done so here in LA where the murder rater for shelter animals has increased since his appointment as GM. (The kill rate has gone up ANOTHER 31% in just the past six months!) Why did Villaraigosa's staff allow the Mayor to appoint an incompetent fraud to be the General Manager of OUR six city animal shelters? Pure Greed! Billionaire Gary Michelson promised the mayor large donations for his gubernatorial campaign, if he appointed his then friend Ed Boks. The hiring of Ed Boks was done by a Mayor and staff who are not only unethical, but who obviously don't give a damn about the animals being slaughtered inside the shelters of Los Angeles. This type of mayoral corruption has got to be stopped, especially since it has resulted in the needless and senseless imprisonment, agony and suffering of tens of thousands of innocent animals every year. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that by hiring a knowledgeable expert like Nathan Winograd to come into the shelters and consult, hire a new general manager, then they together can make it possible to revamp the archaic ways of catch-and-kill into a progressive no kill shelter as has been done for other municipal shelters around the country. Not only would this save lives, but it would also save the tax payers money that is now being spent on housing, killing and then dumping the animals at a rendering facility where their corpses are used for fertilizer, makeup and even pet food! The solution is so easy, yet the Mayor and his staff simply refuse to do the right thing for the animals. As long as the Mayor and his staff continue to knowingly kill animals who can instead be adopted into loving homes, activists will never back down from this campaign. Please join us in our next round of demos against the slaughter houses in the city shelters.
