LOS ANGELES- February 10, 2008

Activists convened for mobile demonstrations in the neighborhoods of Corina Villaraigosa, Jimmy Blackman and Robin Kramer. Corina is still the wife of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Jimmy is still the ruthless and sleazy Deputy Mayor overseeing LAAS, and Robin Kramer is still the Mayor's Chief of Staff! Pickets are carried out in neighborhoods to educate residents about what is transpiring in the six Los Angeles municipal shelters under the reign of the incompetent fraud and General Manager Ed Boks and because all three are in a position to influence Villaraigosa to fire Boks and hire No Kill Solutions. For Corina, it would simply be the moral thing to do; for Jimmy, he knows that hiring NKS to come in and consult would save lives; and for Robin Kramer, it's her job to make sure the Mayor is doing what's best for the city and ALL it's inhabitants. 

Activists first went to the neighborhood of Corina Villaraigosa at xxxx xxx xxxxxx Avenue in Los Angeles. They distributed leaflets, chanted and spoke about the slaughter of tens of thousands of healthy, treatable, adoptable animals in the six City Death Camps under Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) and overseen by the inept and mendacious General Manager Ed Boks. Boks was fired in New York City and asked to resign in Maricopa County (AZ) for the same complaints levied against him in Los Angeles. He "cooks the books" by factoring out multiple entire categories of animals in order to tout himself as approaching no kill. He allows animals imprisoned inside LAAS to die inside their cages from willfully untreated illnesses and injuries so that he can omit their deaths from the department's kill stats. A neighbor told a picketer that Corina was thinking of moving out of their home in Mt. Washington because she "can't stand living in a home with the memories of her adulterer husband who fooled around on her and their children so often and for so many years." Another neighbor suggested that activists ought to make sure Hillary Clinton's campaign knows that her friendship with a seedy adulterer like Villaraigosa is only going to hurt her campaign. (More info to come on how to contact Clinton's campaign and let them know how Villaraigosa treats animals and women!) Clinton needs to distance herself from this sleaze bag ASAP!  

Demonstrators next went to the neighborhood where Jimmy Blackman owns the home at xxxxx xxxxxxxx, in Tarzana. Two activists have a temporary restraining order regarding picketing this neighborhood because Maria Blackman, the foul mouthed-smutty ex-wife of Jimmy lives there and is doesn't want picketers exercising their freedom of speech in HER neighborhood!! But the temporary restraining order against Lindy Greene and Pamelyn Ferdin didn't stop other activists from picketing and educating the neighbors. Three black and whites came rushing into Blackman's neighborhood ostensibly hoping to arrest the two activists for violating their restraining orders; but Lindy and Pamelyn were at the time basking in the knowledge that there are plenty of other activists willing to step up to the plate on behalf of the LAAS animals being slaughtered per Jimmy Blackman's oversight. The two were thrilled to know that even a vile woman like Blackman's ex-wife cannot stop legal picketing (even with the help of the Los Angeles city attorney's office who is being paid to represent her with YOUR tax dollars!) Activists have the right to picket the neighborhood where a deputy Mayor overseeing the LAAS is located and to let all the neighbors know that Jimmy Blackman is responsible for tens of thousands of companion animals being killed every year inside LAAS because of his refusal to hire No Kill Solutions. 

The last stop on the demo route was Robin Kramer at xxx xxxxxxxx in Los Angeles. The picketers distributed leaflets to educate the neighbors; chanted, and asked Robin to do the right thing by urging Mayor Villaraigosa to fire Ed Boks and hire No Kill Solutions. Robin's big, burly next-door neighbor emerged from his house - furious at the disruption for ten minutes of his favorite television sitcom - and rushed a seventeen-year-old demonstrator, slamming him backwards into a tree. What gives a bully like that the impression that (1) he can interfere with citizens' free exercise of their First-Amendment rights and (2) assault a minor? There are some ugly human beings living on this planet with no compassion for animals; and topping this list is Antonio Villaraigosa, Jimmy Blackman and Robin Kramer who refuse to implement programs, protocols and policies proven to stop the killing of animals in other municipal shelters. It seems that the picket so enraged Robin's next door neighbor that he was willing to batter a young picketer. The activist was not daunted in the least however, realizing that all social struggles have and will continue to encounter ugly, narrow minded chumps who attack those standing up for the voiceless. Experienced activists realize that unruly neighbors are an "occupational hazard" when standing up for their beliefs - and that the animals have it much worse. They will not be deterred from returning again and again to Kramer's neighborhood in order to speak up for the animals, educate the public, and ask Robin to do her job and hire No Kill Solutions.
