LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles - Animal rights activists participated in legal and lawful mobile demonstrations picketing the ongoing slaughter of tens of thousands of homeless doggies, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits and wildlife in the six Los Angeles municipal "shelters" under the direction of con man and two-time loser, General Manager Ed Boks. Boks was appointed to the General Manager position over talented and competent local candidates by the philandering Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (who can't seem to honor either his campaign or wedding pledges,) because he believed the payoff would be a million-dollar contribution to a future gubernatorial run by billionaire Gary Michelson. Ed Boks continues to make no attempt to market and adopt out the tens of thousands of loveable and treatable animals who have the tragedy of crossing his threshold.

In fact, ADL-LA has gotten confirmation from not one, but THREE inside sources that Boks' deliberately allowed thirteen hundred animals to die imprisoned inside LAAS from minor injuries and treatable illnesses this year alone, so that he could exclude their deaths from the kill 'stats' and appear to be reducing the kill rate. (Apparently, Boks' history of 'cooking the books' in both NYC and Maricopa is legendary.)

First up for a visit by demonstrators was Corina Villaraigosa - now the Mayor's ex-wife. She has filed for divorce upon learning of his most recent affair with Telemundo reporter Mirthala Salinas - the journalist who had the audacity to cover the story before it was known that she was the "other woman." Corina went back to Tony once already after he slept with his friend's wife. But it wasn't too long before the familiar persistent compulsion impinged on Tony's zipper and he was careening off in pursuit of alternative sources of gratification. The long-suffering Corina finally made the sagacious choice to be done with her libidinous husband to whom neither marital fidelity nor shelter incompetence mean a damn. Picketers begged her to finally do the right thing and demand that her hedonistic soon to be ex spouse get rid of Ed Boks and implement No Kill Solutions.

Next up was the comely but foul-mouthed Maria Teresa Blackman - ex-wife of arrogant and sleazy Deputy Mayor Jimmy Blackman.  Maria Teresa perjured herself so badly on the witness stand during a recent hearing against Animal Defense League Los Angeles, a thunder bolt hit the court building and it caught fire during her testimony. Well maybe not, but that's what SHOULD have happened upon her spewing continuous lies under oath with Jimmy giving her 'cues' from the audience. They make quite an
ex-pair! The Picketers also politely asked her to demand that Jimmy fire Ed Boks. (Picketers figured Antonio may heed Corina's wishes out of guilt, and Jimmy may heed Maria Teresa's request because he simply can't stand hearing her foul mouth whining about the picketers. Either way, the animals win and their lives will be saved if Jimmy and Antonio do what they promised the humane community they would do in October 2005; which was to hire No Kill Solutions to consult and have NKS do a nation wide search for a General Manager who will competently and humanely implement the written and proven NO KILL EQUATION here in the city of LA.   

Third up on the protest circuit was the sociopathic General Manager himself, Ed Boks. Ed was fired from NYC and asked to leave  Maricopa County before coming here to inflict his murderous regime on tens of thousands of Los Angeles' homeless and lost animals. He was accused of the very same crimes in those other locations - "cooking" the books, allowing animals to die on their own from neglect (in order to factor them out of the kill stats), doing no public outreach, lying and spending most of his time blogging, boozing and chasing the babes. He spouts from the Bible while committing murder (we guess that's just like the Head Witchfinders in medieval Salem who considered themselves doing "God's work.") Boks collects his six-figure salary and tries to deflect attention away from his apathy and incompetence by dragging animal rights activists into court and doing anything he can to get media interviews so that he can lie to them about how terrific he is for the animals.   

The neighbors at all three venues were educated about the issues and some were even calling the picketers to their door steps asking for information on what they could do to help. Picketers then departed as they reflected on the fact that the warm California sun would never again shine on 80% of those shelter animals' backs.
